America's Run!

The weekend we had trained for for so long finally came in early April!

We packed up our stuff and headed to my parent's house in Arlington for the weekend! It was such a relaxing weekend and we made sure the weekend went as perfect for Jeff as possible! He doesn't like to be the center of attention but, I made sure he was since it in fact was HIS WEEKEND!!!

Headed to A*Town!!!

Saturday afternoon, we went to Cowboy stadium to get Jeff all checked in!

Saturday night, we went to Prespa's, a hole in the wall Italian restaurant in Arlington. Jeff is obsessed with their Chicken Parmesan so, we knew that was the best place for him to load up on carbs!

We all woke up early Sunday morning and got ready to head to the stadium! My Dad dropped Jeff and I off at the starting line so we wouldn't have to pay to park and once the race started, he came back to pick me up and we were off to drive around to cheer Jeff on at several different mile markers! It was such a fun morning and, I'm not going to lie, I teared up when the race started. I couldn't help but think of how I was supposed to be doing this with him. Like I said in my last post, I am so proud of him for pushing himself throughout the 13.1 miles, had it been me, I don't know if I could have done it by myself!!! He's a trooper!

Before the race started... I wanted to be racing with him!

Probably about the time I started to tear up...

Look how cute he is! Not a care in the world, completely relaxed before the start!!
3 miles in... LOOKIN' GOOD!

6 miles... WOO HOO!!!

Barb missed him with her first picture attempt so, I had to run after him to get this shot at 8 miles!!!
After 13.1... HE DID IT!!!!

It was a thumbs up kind of weekend!!!
