A Maui Good Time...

Maui holds a very special place in our hearts! It's where we spent our first week of marriage together, enjoying every minute of the sun, beach and each other! We tried to fit as much as we could into our honeymoon to ensure we wouldn't have any regrets since we figured it would be quite a while until we went back. Much to our surprise, Jeff's Dad and Step-Mom decided to take a family vacation there this past January! We were truly blessed to spend a week in paradise with the family! Since I've known Jeff, his brother and sister-in-law haven't lived in the same town as us so, it was so great to spend a week with them! Although Jeff's step-sister, Ashley and her boyfriend Bryan, live in the same town as us, we don't get to see them that often because they are both Doctors finishing up their residencies! All in all, this vacation is one that will go down in our books as one of the best vacations we have ever been on! Nothing beats family time in paradise!!!
Beautiful Maui

On our second day there, we went on an amazing whale watching trip! We saw tons of humpbacks and our trip was even extended by 30 mins because the lil' guy below decided he really liked to be near our boat! We didn't mind!!!

Nothing beats a Maui sunset!!!

We tried to take sunset pictures every night!!

We woke up at 3:45 am to go on a sunrise bike trip down Haleakala. I was not at all excited about the trip becuase of the horror stories I had read about in several books. Once we started the ride, I was perfectly content and took in all of Maui's beauty! It was gorgeous!!!

The whole crew all dressed and ready to go!

Photo-op! Our bike guides were great about stopping to take pictures of us on the ride down!

After the bike tour, we went to the Tedeschi Vineyards and tasted some delicious Maui Wine!

Jeff and I took a long hike every morning! I would give anything to have those kind of hikes EVERY morning! It was perfect for the body, mind and soul!

Our last morning we went to "The Gazebo" for breakfast! This place is tiny, has amazing views of the whales and has at least a 45 minute wait at all hours of the morning! It is also where you will the best Macadamia Nut pancakes and delicious omelettes!

This trip is hopefully just the beginning of Hager family vacations! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect week and truly can not express to Bo and Dottie how thankful we are that they wanted to share Maui with us!!!
